The Content business unit uses the data received from the Satellite Applications unit and provides digital content like maps, databases, processed signals and satellite photos, geo-located signals like fire spots, earthquake epicenters and others. It provides regularly updated maps of cities, infrastructure, land use and cover, population data, critical infrastructures data and many others according to the requirements.

Advanced analyses of data received from the Content Unit are performed at the Space and Satellite data processing unit. These include weather data, pollution, vegetation, floods, oil spills, earthquakes and other. The unit is also responsible for the production of forecasts maps, as well as, damage assessment after natural or man-made disasters.

With link to the Scientific Committee, the RTD business unit of Aratos Technologies S.A. is providing novel solutions in the areas of image processing, convergence of space and terrestrial technologies, semantic web, terrestrial networking like femtocells, GSM, WiMAX to name a few. To cover its infrastructure needs, Aratos Technologies S.A. has a subsidiary company ARATOS SATELLITES APPLICATIONS Ltd. It is responsible for the provision of space born content like signals, photos, orthorectified satellite images and primary processing of data. The unit has already installed one ground station for reception of data from European Space Agency satellites.
